Tho statement submitted by tlio Budget Committee to the Reichstag shows that Germany must borrow £50,000,000 within the next five years, even without fresh appropriations, in order to cover her annual deficits. Herr Erzeberger, reporter of the Budget Committee, characterised the estimate as horrifying, but believed the amount would not be exceeded owing to'; many objections to tho increase of the. North German Lloyds subsidy by £25,000. The Reichstag referred tho Bill to tlio Budget Committee.
