Gillani, vicar of St. Matthews’, at the. annual meeting of the parishioners. Air Gillani' reported that during the year they had been without the services' of a curate as they were unable to guarantee his -stipend from the ordinary revenue. “There are not sufficient men offering for the Alinistry to meet the demands foy curates,” said Air. Gillani, who further declared that most of the city parishes in New Zealand were understaffed at present.
