CAR RUNS INTO TRACTION ENGINE. MIRACULOUS OF PASSENGERS. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 30. A . startling collision between an el>ctric car and a heavy waggon attached to a traction engine occurred ;>n the Riccartou line to-night. The -ractign engine, with several waggons attached, was being driven along the lam track, no lights being shown ■itiior ni front or behind, and tho if'’j 1 was ,travelling at the rate ar tb mdes an hour, crashed into the rear waggon. The car was crumpled ■ip, but the motorman and the passengers miraculously escaped without injury. 1
