A special meeting of tho Hawke’s Uaj Land Board was held to-dav to consider an application by -Miss Meineruiiagen for reconsideration of a decision oi tho Hoard to cancel a miscellaneous license which had been granted to her in respect of certain -Uaori lands. It was ultimately deciued that on the requisition of Miss Memertzhageu, the Hoard submit .a case under section 55 of the ‘Land Act, 1802. -for the opinion of a Judge of the Supreme Court as to whether the conditions of section 20 of tho -Maori Land Settlement Act, 1905, do not govern the acquisition of native lauds by tlio Crown, and not section 250 of the Land Act, 1892.
