Co ns id era ble interest is already being taken, in the-approaching municipal elections, which are set down to take place on AVednesday-next, the 29th inst. Nominations closed yesterday both for the Alayoralty and for the vacant seat on the Council. The contest for the Alayoralty promises to bo a close and exciting one, and the supporters of both, candidates are equally cnr.'idont. The election of a councillor is also expected to be keen, each of the three aspirants for •civic honors having a strong following. The nominations are: AIAYORALTY.
