The Union S.S. Co.’s Haupiri, which left on Sunday morning for Waipiro Bay, dropped anchor in the Lay at about 11 o’clock yesterday, alter finding it impossible-to work the East Coast ports. The Haupiri will leave for Waipiro Bay early this morOn account of tho holidays the Monowai was late in leaving Wellington vosterday, and will not reach this port until to-morrow morning. The launch will go out at 9 a.m. The wharves were very busy yesterday after the holidays. TheSciuall, AVaiapu, and It urn were all working at one time, discharging and loading. Tho auxiliary schooner Kaeo will leave for coastal ports this afternoon with a general cargo. The Kuddart-Parker Co.’s Victoria arrives from Auckland, this afternoon, and sails south in the evening.
