BOWLING.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA* 120 NEW ZEALAND 71

(Received April 14, 10.5 p.m.) United Press Association—Copyright ADELAIDE, April 14. The New* Zealand bouders played a second and final match against South Australia on the Adelaide Oval. As tlie visitors had to catch the afternoon train for Melbourne at 4.30 p.m. the game was commenced at 1.30 p.m. and was limited to 21 heads. The weather was dull, with a few spots of rain, which made the couch grass stand up, and the greens were not quite keen enough for the visitors, although they played truly. Walker and Hain met again, and they had a fine tussle, which was even until toivards the finish, wheii Walker got a fiver, which won the game for him by that majority. Hain and Thompson both played well against a strong rink. Clarence Moody got an, initial break of 10 ,on Goldstone, who recovered some points, and then went to the bad again. Maynard played several good shots, but Goldstone was clean off colour, and could never get tlie strength of tlie green. Hedgert led Bentley a merry dance. The New Zealand skip w*as unwell, but Smith did good work for him. Hill, who had a good all-round team, had a close go with Bishop, whose men played well. Walsh always had the lead of Allnutt’s rink, in which tlie skip, with saving shots, was the most conspicuous player during the game. This being a rushed visit, the New Zealanders had a busy time, but are delighted that they changed their itinerary to include Adelaide. Tho scores are as follows; —r SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
