Sailed—-Mokoia (6.30 p.m.), for Sydney; (6 p.m.), for Gisborne .* Tho U.S.S. Co.’s Squall arrived from Auckland yesterday about noon with a quantity of general cargo. Sno returnc to-day with a cargo of sheep. The Awauui left for Auckland yesterday morning early. The U.S.S. Co.’s Manuka arrives this evening from Auckland. The Tuatea leaves the wharf on .arrival, probably about 5 p.m. Tho birquentino lima sailed for Kopu yesterday afternoon .to load timber for Sydney. •Messrs. Richardson and Co.’s Toroa arrives from Napier to-morrow morning, and returns in the evening, taking the .Local volunteers to tho Easter manoeuvres. _ .■ The a.s. Kaeo arrived from. Coast ports and Auckland yesterday. aiternoon. Owing to the bad st-ato of the channel, through being silted up, the vessel gat aground just opposite her berth, although oho came in at full tide. Captain Skinner reports as follows regarding his trip:—Sailer! from Auckland on Friday, March 23, with strong westerly winds. Saturday, 2 p.m., off Whalo Island. ■* Stood in and anchored till Monday morning. When wind moderated came on to Omaio, arriving 3 ip.m. Following morning landed■■Tokalm,' and came on ito Oreti Point, at 3 p.m. Landed part of cargo samo evening. Wednesday morning landed balance of cargo and shipped cjuantity of maize. 10 a.m. left for Hicks Bay. Landed same evening. Thursday morning Landed Te Araroa, and came on to Port Awanui, arriving 1 p.m. Did not finish till Friday, at noon. Came on t 0 Waipiro, arirving -3 p.m. Finished Waipiro Bay Saturday afternoon, and returned to Tuparon. Finished 3 p.m. Sunday. Then cime on to Tokomaru. Monday morning landed cargo, but at noon bad weather came on, so had tb come or. to Tologa Bay, arriving there Monday night, 7 p.m. Raining all day in torrents. Tuesday, sea and -wind aiul rain too heavy for landing. Wednesday, launch came for cargo, but owing to heavy sea did not leave till Saturday. Worked Puatai, with heavy sea, same afternoon. Landed about 30 tons at Pakaxao yesterday. Came on to TuriJiaua and landed 12 tons this morning, leaving there at noon to-day (Monday), arriving at- wharf at 3 p.m. About 60 tons general cargo for Gisborne. Landed on coast about 200 tons and 20,000 ft timber. The West-port Coal Co.’s s.s. Regains arrived from' West-port yesterday morning with 500 tons of coal, but owing to the silting of the channel was unable to come alongside. A quantity of her cargo was lightered yesterday to lessen her draught, .and ntt attempt -will bo made to bring her in on the early tide this morning.
