About a fortnight ago the Chief Inspector of Stock (Mr -Bruce), in company with the agents for tlio “iSuddeth” and “H.D.” .rabbit exterminating machines, visited, tine Lakes district, where highly successful trials of the machines were made. The “Suddeth,” an Australian invention, treated fifty holes in sixty minutes, and the a contrivance of Mr Hunter Weston’s (Middlemarcli), operated upon 138 holes m fifity-fivo minutes. Wo satisfactory were the results that the Stock Department, we understand, has bought both machines. These destroyers (says the “Otago Daily Tunes”) should prove an invaluable boon to farmers, and the Stock Department is to be congratulated upon the ready and capable assistance it is lending the agricultural interest.
