It is understood that the Labor caucus is willing to support Sir William Lyne if given a majority of the portfolios. They want four portfolios, and one honorary member, leaving Sir William Lyne three portfolios and one honorary member. There is a possibility that Air Deakin may consent to remain until tho close of the session. This will a nit Sir William Lyne better. Ho w’.l then be prepared to undertake the formation of the Alinistry.
