RAILWAY RETURNS.
. The following are tho traffic returns for the period ending February 29th, 190 S, on the Gisborne-To Karaka railway :
These returns, with the exception of parcels, show an all-round increaso. Tho number of passengers carried exceeded that for tho corresponding period last season by 548, and 84 more season tickets were taken out. Parcels decreased by 8. Goods, including live stock, increased by 410, or more, than doublo, last year’s number being 395. Miscellaneous, including chaff, wool, timber, etc., increased by 143, whilst the total revenue shows a" substantial increase of £312 2s 2d, tlie total last season being £OO2 5s Id.
