CHARITABLE AID BOARD,

The monthly mooting of the Gisborne Charitable Aid Board was held at tho Borough Council Chambers Inst evening. Present: Tho Mayor (Air. J. Toiynley), Messrs Somervell, Sawyer, AA’hinray, Pettie, and Dr. AA’illiams.

Tlie Auckland Hospital Board asked payment of £3 for attention to a child admitted from AA’hataupoko, Gisborne.

Afr. Vigis, custodian at the Old Men’s. Home, was granted a month’s leave of absence, It was decided to admit Air. C. H. Patterson to tho Old Alen’s Homo.

The Custodian reported that there were thirteen inmates in tlio Home at present. Accounts amounting to £54 were passed for payment, Messrs Pettie, Somervell, and Sawyer were appointed a committee to frame tlio estimates for the year. The Clerk submitted a dealt of tho annual balance-sheet, which will bo .audited and placed before tlie annual meeting of the Board. The Chairman said tho draft balance-sheet showed tlie Board _ was in a satisfactory financial position.
