I bought dings and instruments and built a house. I arranged with Mr. Abbot, storekeeper, of Matamata, to supply nf with building material. I was to gj'e him a' mortgage for £2OO when tc house was ready. Tho amount < the guarantee was to be paid tc {■ on the Ist September, 1906, and 1 anticipation of receiving this mon 1 incurred certain debts, and was (appointed at not receiving the jirantee money at the right time, ave the collecting of the guaraui money to Mr. Abbot. I believe 1 collected £7l. Subsequently 1 meted about £3O more, and there till some owing. Mr. Abbot reled the' £7l, as the £2OO mortp was insufficient to satisfy liis <H. I expected that the guaranfwoukl bo a continuous one, and t I should receive the same amc (£120) every year, but only a fof the subscribers would nay aflilie first year. I expected to it £3OO a year in fees beyond the jy guarantee.
