NEW COMPANIES TAKE OYER * CONTRACTS. United Press Association-Copyright (Received April 3, 12.30 a.mi . • SYDNEY, April 2. Through information received it is understood an arrangement has been concluded between Charles Barrie and Son, Dundee owners of tho Den line of steamships. and tho lndra Line, ot Liverpool, to take over the Alley Company’s contracts with the Canadian and New Zealand Government s and to jointly conduct a regular line of steamers. Tho service will be twomonthly as at present, vessels Jeavmg Sydney and Vancouver simultaneously and calling at Auckland, Wellington, or other ports as inducements ottei. It is hoped before long that the trade Will justify more steamers.
