CABINET DECISIONS.
AUSTRALIAN EASTER MANOEUVRES. SUPERANNUATION ACT. (Per Press Association.) WELINGTON, April 2. Cabinet has decided that ono of the Defence officers should visit- Australia during the Commonwealth Easter manoeuvres. The step is being taken as an outcome of an invitation from the Commonwealth. The officer -who will' make the trip will probably he selected by the Defence Council. The School Commissioners throughout the Dominion whose terms have expired in the ordinary course wore reappointed. A decision of much interest to civil servants was arrived at by tho Cabinet in connection with the Superannuation Act of last session. Under the Civil Reform Act, 1886, ana Civil Rervico Insurance Act, 1893, permanent civil servants have -been building up an accumulation in the Public Trust Office or contributing to an insurance policy. Cabinet decided yesterday that all who joined tho superannuation fund under the Act of last session, and applied under that Act for a refund of the amount that they had paid to the Public Trustee, pr for the surrendered value of their policy, should receive it, • ' Cabinet his decided to appoint two additional Inspectors under the Orchard and Garden ‘Pest Act.
