. THE TE Alt AI ESTATE. SALE 03? PLANT AND STOCK. The salo of .the shcep_, horses, other stock, and implements of the Te Arai Estate was continued by the New Zealand Loan’ and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., in conjunction with Messrs. Williams and Kettle, Ltd., at the Te Arai homestead yesterday. There was a large crowd of buyers present fry in all parts of the district, including many of the settlers who obtained sections a,t the recent balllot, and are oil tho lookout for stock for their holdings. : .Bidding was 'brisk, and good prices were realised. The Clydesduie stallion Cauongato was sold to Mr. G. Gray for 115 guineas, while the thoroughbred stallion Sabretache was passed in. Light horses brought from £3O to £SO, mares with foals a/b foot £45 to £sl, and hacks £S to £26. The sheep all sold well; 646 ewes with 13 Border Leicester ranis brought 8s 6d, 2493 hoggets 7s, 1006 ewes and 30 Lincoln rams 9s 9d; 679 two-toothed ewes and 14 rams 11s sd; 216 Lincoln crossbred ewes and 4' Lincoln rams, 11s 8d ; 505 sound-mouthed Lincoln, ewes with 13 Border Leicester rams, ills 2d; 50 old wethers, 9s 3d; 1238 crossbred ewes and 25 Border Leicester rams, 9s sd; empty eaves, os 9cl to 5s lid; and hoggets, is to 5s Gd: The implements sold at satisfactory •prices. Waihi scrip was.sold on ’change today -at £9 7s 6d, and holders are now asking £9 9s. Grand Junctions eased to £1 14s.
