PRISONERS BEFORE THE COURT.

At the Magistrate’s Court to-day David Rowe was committed,for trial on ' charge of breaking and entering a dwelling,- and. stealing therefrom iewej.erv worth £3O.
Thomas George, alias McGuire, .and AVilliam Johnson were, charged with stealing a travelling trunk, value £77 lis, and jewellery, value £lOl Is, the property of Airs. May Stanley, of St. John's Wood, London. It is alleged the goods were taken from tile hall of the New Zealand Hotel. Johnston pleaded .guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. George, who pleaded not guilty, was committed for trial.
