CHRISTCHURCH BRIGADE’S PLANT. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 31. Superintendent Smith, who was appointed by the City Council to make a valuation of the city fire plant in connection with the transfer to the Christchurch Fire 'Board, submitted a report at last night’s Council meeting. The total amounted to £4750, and comprised two steam engines, two chemical engines, one manual, and a large assortment of accessories, such as hose, telescope ladders, harness, fire alarms, and telephones, uniforms etc. Supt. Smith, who has been thirty years in the service, was heartily thanked.
