TWO FRESH BOATS FOR THE RUN.
(Per Press Association.) " AUCKLAND, March 31. Evidence of the successful operations of the White Star Lino in con- , nection with their recently organised caigo service between San Francisco and Australasia, is afforded byy a circular just received by the local agent Mr J. C. Spedding, stating tlmt two steamers of over 6000 tons each are to be placed in the trade at an early date. These are the Suvenc (6230 tons) and the Inveric (7489tons). The Suveric replaces the Folenc. which left Auckland for American ports yesterday, and will leave pan rancisco for,Auckland via Is-' land ports on April 10th. The Suvelic arrives from the Californian port a month-later. On her present voyage the I'orenc is carrying 745 tons of general cargo from Sydney and < Auckland, and JdSc tons of coal from Newcastle. The freighting from Auckland alone amounts to about 300 tons, ami it would have been consulorahlv arger had Island orders bceh received in time.
