AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL REFUSES APPLICATION.
(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 2/. The City Council refused an application by the Metropolitan Athletic Club for tlfo use of Victoria lark on Good Friday, though applicants undertook to donate 50 per cent, of the net proiits of the collection at the gates to the Orphan Home.
