The U.S.tS. Co.’s Eakaroa leaves Napier on Saturday for Gisborne with 400 tons of coal. The TT.S.S. Co.’s Squall k expected to leave Auckland to-night for Gisborne, via To big a Bay. The havquentine lima arrived at noon yesterday. Newcastle was left ■on March Bth, eleven days oceupied in crossing the Tasman Sea. Cape Maria was passed on the 19th, heavy -southerly . glies being experienced on the run clown the coast. The lima lias 480 tons of coal for, this port. The scow Rambler arrived from Mercury Bay yesterday. She had fair weather to the East Cape, but thence light, changeable winds were experienced. She has 12,000 ft of timber for 'Alessrs Evens, Niekl and Co. and 51.000 feet for Pakarae, which will be delivered on the return trip. The schooner Gisborne arrived in port yesterday afternoon.’ A good inn was made to East Cape, after iv hi ah variable winds were exnerien'nrd.
