press Association. NAPIER, March 24. The carnival howling tournament was continued to-day, although ram fell more or less throughout the whole of the morning. In the pairs competition Dean and Tnbuteau 28 beat Martin and Martin 9, and this leaves four pairs ol local players Still in, and they will probably play oil' to-morrow. , Sovoral games iii tho Citizens Match l’or ’Messrs Neal and Closes trophies were played, and resulted as Follows: Tabu lean’s team 29 bent Rickott’s team 13, Crowley’s team 20 heat St. John’s team (Paterson) 14, Terry’s team 18 boat Mnsterton (Cochrane) 13, Williams’ team 19 beat Bull’s team 14.
