SITTINGS AT PALMERSTON.
Press Association. PALMERSTON, March 23. At the Supreme Court to-day the case of John Baillie v. the Imperial Dry Milk Conmany was lieary beioro Mr. Justice Cooper. The claim was for the sum of £5Ol, in respect of work done by plaintiff for defendant, and as compensation in respect of apatent, invented by the plaintiff, also for loss of tools at defendant’s factory at Bunnythorpe, which was destroyed by fire somo years ago. Evidence was given by Messrs Baillie, Hoke, and Merritt for the plaintiff, and by Messrs T. and D. Nathan for the defence. Judgment was given for the plaintiff for £lO, and His Honor reserved his decision regarding the matter of costs. A decree nisi was granted to Mary Ann Pye, who applied for tl\e dissolution of her marriage with Archibald Robertson Pye, on the ground ot desertion, failing to provide, and persistent cruelty. No defence.was filed. Edward Jones alias Johns was sentenced to four years 1 Imprisonment with hard labor for committing an indecent assault on a little girl at Ashhurst. ,
