OULVERDEN COMPENSATION AWARD.

The award of tlio Compensation Court, in connection with the compulsory acquisition of tho Culvorden estate by the Government, for the purposes of closer settlement, was gi'en this afternoon. The members ol the Court were Mr. Justice .Denniston (President) and Messrs J. Rennie ami D. D. Macfarlane. (assessors), representing the Government and owners respectively. , . , r Mr. Stringer, with him Mr. Russell, appeared for the claimants, ami Mr. D. M. Findlay, with him Mi. Cassidy, for the Crown.
