GISBORNE HOSPITAL [To the Editor.] Sir.—Your letter which appeared in the' 1 Times of this morning under tho heading of ‘Round tho Wards’ etc at the Gisborne Hospital, caused a good deal of comment and amusement to all those under the roof of that magnificent institution. I have been ail inmate of the Hospital lor many weeks and I have never once soon a nurse sitting down, as you calmly stated, much tho reverse. Twelve hours on duty is an every day occurrence and has been for some time. I am sure all the nurses would only •be too glad to avail themselves of the opportunity, but, Mr Editor, no such luxuries for them. Their work is like tho town clock, never done. Hoping you will kindly correct the assertion, or I am afraid people will begin to think a nurses life is all play. —I am, etc., A PATIENT.
