THE TUAHINE LIGHT.
WORK TO COMMENCE SHORTLY,
Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 20. Tho Marine Department has sent an order Home for tlie light to bo placed at Tuahine Point, 1 oaerty Bay. The lighthouse there was burnt down about- eighteen months ago, and the now ono, after construction by the Government, will be maintained by the Gisborne Harbor Board. The plans forwarded to tnc firm supplying the lantern are expected back in two months time, and a. start will then be made with the erection of a tower. Hus Will be readv bv Hie time the lantern arrives, before the end of the year It is to be an acetylene light, ol the fourth order, made to burn continuously for forty days, without attention.
