BOWLING.

The heavy rain yesterday afternoon prevented any play on either the Gisborne or Turanganui dub’s greens. This is the more to be regretted, as there has been for some time past considerable dissatisfaction expressed by members of both clubs, at the tardy manner in which tho various competitions are being got off. The majority of players are of tbo opinion that if the committees do not take a firm stand and fix tho time limit, the several competitions yet to he finished will, not he got "through before the season closes.
