"DEPUTATION TO MINISTER. Press Association. NAPIER, March 19. A deputation of traivl owners met the Minister of Marine to-day, to ask that arrangements might be made, whereby the carriage of fish to Wellington might be expedited, so that the fish might arrive thero in the best of condition, and so prevent the present losses occasioned by the slow method of transit. The Minister promised to give consideration to the wishes of tbo deputation. Another deputation asked that the men in charge of lighters, -working in the bay only, might be exempt from the regulation requiring them to possess home trade certificates. The Minister promised to consider the matter as it affected the lighters trading only in the bay.
