The IT.S.S. Co.’s Alanuka arrived from Auckland a litt-lo after noon yesterday, after a run. of under 20 hours. She left for Napier in the evening. The Union S.S. Co’s Wai’kare was delayed at Napier on Tuesday through heavy cargoes. She left Napier at 1.30 a.m. yesterday and arrived here about 9 o’clock, but she did not leave for Auckland until late in tbe afternoon. The Union S.S. Co’s Haupiri arrives to-morrow morning from Napier, and leaves later for Coast ports and Auckland. The barque Hazel Craig commenced ballasting yesterday and is expected to sail at the end of the week for Auckland, where she -will be docked to facilitate cleaning. After cleaning the vessel proceeds to Whangarei to' load timber for Melbourne. . The- H.P. liner Wimmera, due from Napier on Saturday, is now under the command of Captain Waller, lately master of the Victoria.
