WORKERS DECLINE ARBITRATION.

THREE STRIKERS ARRESTED

United Press Association —Copyright SYDNEY, March 18. After seeing the representative of the coastal companies, Mr. W ade, the Premier, communicated with the president of the Waterside Workers’ -Association, and asked him to put before the strike co'mmittee proposals to refer the 'dispute to arbitration. The committee declined to agree to this course, but stated they were prepared to jneet the coastal companies in conference.

Three strikers have been arrested in connection with yesterday’s demonstrations at tho wharves.
