The attendance was a record, and tire racing was good. The" sum of £7626 was invested on the totalisator, an increase of £207 over the first day last year, in addition to which 16 bookmakers were licensed. Tho following are the results:— Omaranui Hack Handicap Hurdles Race, of 80 sovs; 13 miles.—Tekainui 9.9 1, Reservoir 11.0 2, Commander 9.8 3. Bushranger also ran.
