PERSONAL.
Messrs. W. Morgan and G. Darton left last night for Napier to attend the monthly meeting of the IJawke'e Bay Education Board; Mr. Justice Chapman and Mr. H. Chapman left for South lust night. Mr. H. D. Bell, K.C., and Mr. G. Hutchison, who were retained in a number of cases at the recent sitting of the Supreme Court, left for South Jast night. Constable Doyle, Te Karaka, left last night for iSoufch on holiday . During his absence Constable Pratt will carry out his duties.
R. Tresidder, who has been on a short holiday in Gisborne, left for South last night. Air. David Thomas, of Canterbury, returned South last night after spending a few days in this district. The members of the Flemming Comedy Company were passengers for the South last night. Mr. E. W. B. Horn abrook, of Wellington, sharebroker, who left by the boat- yesterday, reports that everything predicted about the Gracefield property is now being verified, and that all the shareholders who know the property are more sanguine than ever as to the success of the company. The provisional directors hold u meeting to-day t_o fix the date of the statutory meeting.
