MATAIVHERO STOCK SALE.
There was a good attendance of buyers at the weekly stock sale at Matawhero yesterday. The market showed no material improvement on last week. Ewes were in better demand, but hoggets showed no advance, buyers waiting to see the results of the recent burns. There was very little demand for cattle. No pigs were yarded. The total yarding was 18,000‘sheep and 620 cattle. The following prices were realised: — SHEEP.
