At the njecting of the Borough Council last night, Cr. Aliller gave notice to move that from the beginning of next financial year the Mayor receive an honorarium of £l5O per annum.

At the Police Court yesterday morning Hans Johansen was lined £2, with costs 2s, in default 7 days’ laid (labor, for having used obscene language in Read’s Quay.- Sergeant Williams’stated that the prosecution was the result of a drunken quarrel on one of the vessels in port.
