Waikare arrived at milnight on Sunday, and after being tendered at 6 a.m., left for Napier two hours later. Messrs Richardson and Co’s. Toroa arrived from Napier yesterday morning with a cargo of timber and produce. She leaves for Napier to-day if weather permits. Owing to the heavy weather, the Union S.S. Co’s. Squall did not leave Auckland on Saturday for Gisborne via Tolaga. It is expected that she will leave at noon to-day. To-morrow the Tyser liner Marere arrives from south to load for Home markets. The sailers Fairburn, Zingara, Kai Ora, and Joseph Sims will leave for jheir several destinations when tho weather -moderates. Tho Uni’ofr-SvS,.. Co’s. Monowai’ arrives to-morrow morning.from south and proceeds later to Auckland,.. The lI.P. liner- Wimmera arrives from Auckland to-morrow afternoon and leaves in the evening for south.. Last week was a record one for shipping at the port. Tho total tonnage entering the Bay and the river being over 20,000 tons. Tho vessels included thirteen steamers and fivo sailing, vessels. Very dirty weather was experienced by the Waikare on her run down from Auckland, and though she left the northern port at 2 p.m. on Saturday, it was midnight on Sunday night before she arrived here.
