VICTIM’S CONDITION UNFAVORABLE. THE 'ACCUSED REMANDED. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 9. Norton Hall appeared at the Lyttelton Police Court this morning, charged with on March 7th attempting to murder Alexander James Muir. He was further charged with resisting -arrest, by attempting to fire a revolver at Constable Moriarty. On the application of the police Hall was remanded until March 11th. There is very -little, change in the condition of the wounded man, whose chances of recovery are regarded as unfavorable. He is still lying on the couch in a room at Clark’s boardinghouse, w'here tho shooting took place. Ho passed a fairly good night, and seemed somewhat brighter and more cheerful to-day.
