The initial production will he “The Mummy and the Humming Bird,” an original play in lour acts, which will be presented hero for tho first time. Tho piece lias had an enormous success elsewhere, having enjoyed a run of 370 nights at Wyndliam’s Theatre, London. In Melbourne, notwithstanding tho intense heat, the piece ran for three weeks and a half. Miss Beatrice Day is said,to bo particularly suited in tho part originally played by Miss Lena Ashwtiii, while Mr. Herbert Flemming will appear in tho rolo created by Sir Charles Wyndham. 'Hie company had the advantage while in Loudon of being rehearsed under Sir Charles Wyndham’s supervision, so that there is every reason to anticipate an excellent all-round performance. On Thursday night Mr. Flemming will present “Tho Morals of Marcus,” tho dialogue of which is so good and so clever and so amusing that it affords a’perpotual delight, a continuous stirring of tho inteltectu.il pulse. The attraction selected for Friday night is “Peter’s Mother.” The play so interested tho King that it was played before him by command on two occasions, a most unusual event. On Saturday, tbo last night of the season, “The Red Lamp” will bo presented on tho same scale of unexampled completeness as in Sydney and Melbourne. The plans for tho four nights are now on view at Miller’s Corner.
