DAMAGE TO SHIPPING. Press Association. AUCKLAND, March 8. Tlie damage- by the gale is estimated at over £2OOO. A number of boats, some of them valuable craft, were destroyed, including the yachts Hinemoa. and Terakihi, and the launch Rochester, owned by Mr Haro, the Thorneycroft, owned by Ryan and Co., and the Napier, owned by Mr. R. Logan, sour. Shipping has had a rough tirnp, and all steamers arriving are reporting having experienced a severe buffeting.
