THURSDAY, MARCH 5. (Before Air. W. A. Barton, S.AI.) ILLEGALLY ON PREMISES. Edwin Charles Harvey was sentenced to seven clays’ imprisonment for having been found by night without lawful excuse on the premises of C. Taylor, Gladstone road. Accused pleaded guilty, and said he entered the- premises to sleep, as he had no home in Gisborne. Sergt. Williams said accused had been convicted of a similar offence in 1906. He loafed about- the town, and appeared to have no place of abode. Tho S.AI. issued a prohibition order against accused. MAINTENANCE. Charles Henry Hird failed to appear on a charge of non-compliance with a maintenance order, and a warrant for his apprehension was issued. ALLEGED WIFE DESERTION. A Tailiape resident appeared on a charge of wife desertion, but complainant did not appear, and the charge was dismissed. JUDGMENTS BY DEFAULT. Judgment by default was given in the following cases: Alary Cramp (Air Finn) v. Geo. Harker, £8 5s 3d, costs £1 0s Cd; James AlacFarlano (Air. Sainsbury) v. Arthur Cooper, £l9 18s, costs £1 10s Cd; Alary Cramp (Mr. Finn) v. Clias. Orr, £7 16s 6d, costs 10s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. - In the case of Adair Bros. (Air. i-lei) v. "Whitene, an order was made for payment forthwith of £9 19s 9d, in default 10 clays’ imprisonment, and in the ease of James AVhinray v. Thos. Ryan an order was made for the payment forthwith of £7 Bs, in default S days’ imprisonment. DRUNKENNESS. Hugh McLean was fined 10s, with costs 2s, for having been drunk while in charge of a horse. John Mcllroy was fined 10s, with costs 2s, and a first offender was dealt with in tho usual manner.
