Lincolns sold very much on a par with the first day, and practically xhe whole entry .was quitted. In Lincoln flocks Mr. AA r . 11. AVvbouriie agiin topped the market at 21 guineas, averaging £$ 7s 9d. Messrs. McGregor Bros.’ entry made un to £ls 4s (hi, average £il 12.;. At the third wool sales of the season to-day prices showed a general decline from id to Id as compared with the January rates. AA’ithdraw-. als in consequence were very heavy. In some eases the selling brokers withdrew the bulk of their catalogue. A FIRM AL A R RET. Press Association. DUNEDIN, Feb. 14. The third of the series of wool sales was held to-day, in the presence of a representative attendance of buyers. Prices for inferior wools were better than expected, but this competition, however, was not extended to the lowest grade of matted wools, and lots containing fern and Biddi pests. Bellies and Jocks best sorts, practically maintained the values ruling -at last sale, while heavy conditioned ami seedy lots sold slightly in buyers’ favor. -Prices ruled as follows: —Medium to good merino 9d to HHd, inferior merino 7id to 8R1; super half-lived Lid to 12fd, medium to-good 8d to lOd, inferior SRI to 7-.‘jd, good crossbreds 7]cl to 91 d, medium crossbred 6}d to 7d, inferior 4d to SRI.
