A LAD EATS POISON. Press Association. WELLINGTON, -Feb. 13. Recently a lad named Bertie Henry Watkins died after a short illness, and medical evidence showed that the organs were healthy, and that death was due to the rare disease known as acute dilation of the stomach. The jury found a verdict in accordance with this testimony, but recommended anoaiialysfe of the stomach. The latter lias been made, and traces of arsenic found. Evidence was also obtained that the lad was seen in possession of a box containing a (bluish powder, some of which lie ate .between biscuits. This was the poison known as “Rough on Rats.”
