Tho rescue expedition to tho wrecked steamer Windsor lias returned to Goraldton. . r Tho captain, chief officer, and eliiel engineer were drowned, but all tine rest- wore saved. The vessel has broken up. Tho rescue vessels failed to get lines to the steamer, which was fast breaking up. , Throe apprentices, a seaman, anil fourteen Chinese, who were still on the boat, seeing that the vessel could not last much longer, lashed themselves to planks and threw themselves into the sen. They were washed on to the reef, where the roscuors got them safe ashore. Captain Walters anil Chief Officer Jones were drowned on Tuesday night after the wreck. A boat containing two resellers was blown out to soa, while putting oil to the wreck, and'lias not yet been found, though a steamer is searching An apprentice states that they woio four ilavs on bho wreck without water. [A cable on Friday stated, that the steamer Windsor had been wrecked on the Abrotbos Reef, oft W estern Australia, anil that sho was insured for £20,000.]
