NATIVE LANDS COMMISSION.

THE ITINERARY. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON. Fhb. 6. Sir Robert Stout, Chief Justice, Chairman of tiie Native Land Commission, has left for Napier, where he will meet Air A. T. Ngata. The commission will settle what land is to b© leased to Miss Mcinertz-JJagen, under the Act of last session, 't his work is expected to bo completed in a day, and* the Commission will then go om to Wanganui, for the purpose of determining what portion of the unoccupied Ataori'land there, is to be leased, and what portion sold. At Napier, if the Commission has time one or two matters outside the Mc-inertz-Hagen case, will probably be disposed of. After the VYanganu: sitting, Sir Robert hopes to get back to Wellington, to preside at the Com- . pensation Court which will determine the price to be paid for tne Carrington Estate, Wairarapa, taken by tho Crown for closer settlement. Mr Ngata will return with the Chief Justice, to Wellington, and the Commission, before leaving Wellington will prepare its reports dealing with the Maori lands in tho Waipu, Cook, and Bay of Plenty counties. The Commission will be unable to deal with Rotorua until it is m possession of tho decisions of the Native Land Court, The Commission will visit Otorohanga on 2Gth of February, and subsequently Auckland, •probably Rotorua and North Auckland.
