A MINISTERIAL PROMISE.
Tress Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. 1. The Minister for Public Works (Hon. W. Hall-Jones) has promised Mr. Dillon, M.P., and Mr. W. D. Lysnar, chairman of the Gisborne branch of the Farmers’ Union, representing Gisborne and tho Wairoa settlers, that he will look into the question of opening a stock driving route, between Gisborne and Wairoa -and the "Waikato at an estimated cost of about £2OOO.
