THE ‘WOOL SALES. United Press Association—-Copyright LONDON, Feb'. 3. At the wool market everything is selling well at fully late rates. Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Fob. 4. At the wool sales to-day 7700 bales were offered. The attendance was small, compared with recent sales, and tho improvement recorded at the January sale was not maintained, the demand being exceedingly weak. Not more than 20 per cent, of the wool offered sold. Half-breds showed an all-round decline of from fd to 13 d, and the fail in crossbreds equalled Id per lb. Merino wool also showed a decline of about Id per lb. Tho following is the range of prices: Super merino, 9Jd to TO Id ; medium to good, SJd to 9.1 d; inferior, 7d to 8d ; super half-bred, 9d to I Old; medium to good, 7d to S-i[d; inforior, old to 03d; super three-quarter-bred, 7d to Sd ; medium to good, Gd to GJd; inferior, 53d to sipL crossbred, medium to good, Gd to 7}d; inferior, 4id to old; long wool, old to 6RI; super Down wool, 93 d to lid; medium to good and inferior, 7Jd to Did; Corriedale, to 93d; Shropshire, to BJd; crossbred, 4Jd to od; jinerino, 63d to 93d; locks, 23d to sfd; bellies, 3d to 7d,
