POLLARD’S OPERA COMPANY
To-morrow night Mr. Tom Pollard will inaugurate a three-night season of comic opera at His Majesty’s Theatre, when will be presented his latest and greatest- success, “The Isle of Bong Bong.” A special feature of the production is the gorgeous setting given the play by the wellknown artist, Mr. Tudor Williams. The first -scene represents in glowing colors a vista of palm trees, gloaming sands, and the ocean blue stretching away into -the infinite, as seen from the front of a bungalow that lias a dash of old Seville about its shaded entrance. Not -less attractive is the -second picture, depicting a night scene in a tropical jungle, in the centre of which is an Indian cm campment. It is framed with the opulent vegetation of equatorial latitudes. and in the distance are the camp fires lining the banks of the jungle river. “The Isle of Bong Bong” will be presented to-morrow and Friday evenings On Saturday, tlie last night of the season, there will be a magnificent production of “His Highness the Bey,” with its catchy music, gay ballets, and brilliant. scenic effects.
