Co.’s Squall has been undergoing tier annual overhaul at Auckland, and s-lio is expected to leave there for Tolaga and Gisborne on Aloudav evening, arriving in Gisborne on AA'edne.sclav. On completion of discharge she returns to Auckland with a Ini! cargo of sheep. The U.S.S. Co.’s Hauniri is loading wool at Port Awanui and Tupa■roa. for transhipment- to the Star of Australia, at Xapier. She is expected to arrive here on Wednesday next, leaving the same day for Coast ports and Auckland. Alessrs. Richardson and Co.’s Ruru leaves Napier this evening for Gisborne with a. cargo of stock, and she returns to Napier to-morrow evening. The N.Z.S. Co.’s YVnimate arrives from Auckland this morning, and after loading about Jf4oo hales of wool and other cargo she rails for Napier on Aloud tv next. The scow Southern Me left Auckland on Thursday to load timber at Talma for Messrs. Peaeocke and Co. The schooner Joseph Sims ?s also loading 80,000 ft of kauri at AVliangape for the same firm. Rapid promotion has been the fortune of "Captain Child ley, R.N.R., who is bringing the Sbiw-Savill Company’s new steamer Kiu Ora out to New Zealand on her maiden voyage. Captain Chudley, who is well-known in New Zealand, was appointed in recognition of his valuable services as master of the when that vessel broke her shaft on tbe passage from Manila to NewcasDo about a year ago. The Rangatdra, which made many voyages between London and New Zealand, is tow engaged in the River Plato moat trade.. The , barque-ntiiie Frank Guy arrived in the Bay at 7.30 o’clock Fast night. She sheltered under Young Nick’s Head, and will come in in the morning.
