A SCATHING INDICTMENT
THE PLEA OF INSANITY. United Press Association —Copyright (Received Jan. 31, 9.49 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 31. Mr. Jerome, in a scathing indictment of ’Thaw’© conduct, stated that there was plenty of evidence of his depravity, but none of his insanity. Thaw sought lo shield his miserable life behind his wife’s shame. Air. Jerome asked whether a business man like Air Seliwatz, of the Steel Trust, would have played cards with a man who was irrational or insane. Air. Littleton’s plea was that Thaw was insane both before and after the tragedy. The judge sums tip to-day.
