United Press Association —Copyright (Received Jan. 31, 9.49 p.m.) PRETORIA, Jan. 31. ■Mr. Smuts has accepted the assurance of the leaders of the Asiatics that they will make voluntary registration effective. The sentences on all in prison have been remitted. Finger prints have been dispensed with in the case of educated Asiatics or property owners, and others who could be identTied. Mr. Smuts allows that all Indians are entitled to register. An opportunity to register will be given during the next three months, and no information offending religious susceptibilities will bo asked for.
