By tho Haupiri last evening, Air. H. Geissler left for Kahukura, Air M. Downey, and Mr. Broderick for Tuparoa. Word lias bpen received that Messrs W. R. K. Pulleng and S. Harrison, one time of the local Post Office, have passed the check clerks’ technical examination. Air. W. Hackett, who' lias been seriously ill for some- time with typhoid fever, is reported to be still improving in health. The Rev. Mr. Butterfield left for the South last night. After spending a. few days hi Wellington he intends going to Wanganui and Auckland on business connected with the Waerenga-'i-bika College. The Rev. Edgar Ward is now in charge of the Anglican parish. Air. G. J. Black left for the South last night.
